Level 2: Group Crisis Intervention
Two-Day Course
Prerequisite: Level 1 (or equivalent)
The Group Crisis Intervention course is a comprehensive, systematic and multi-component crisis intervention course designed to prepare participants to recognize and identify a wide range of crisis intervention services. In this course, participants will review the fundamentals of Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and will be provided with the knowledge and tools to provide the following group crisis interventions:
- Group Rest, Information, Transition Services (RITS)
- Crisis Management Briefings (CMBs)
- Defusings
- Critical Incident Stress Debriefings (CISDs)
This course is designed for anyone in the fields of Business & Industry Crisis Intervention, Disaster Response, Education, Emergency Services, Employee Assistance, Healthcare, Homeland Security, Mental Health, Military, Spiritual Care, and Traumatic Stress.
