Crisis Intervention Training: Operations

Up to 8 contact hours

Prerequisites: Awareness level or equivalent, ICS 100 and 700 (FEMA Independent Study), Completion of Responder I/Responder II or equivalent.

This course is designed for supervisors, managers, and staff in risk management and safety positions. In the coordinator course, participants will review the role of the first responder and the application of the Incident Command Structure to crisis and disaster events. Participants will have a chance to examine the role of crisis intervention in emergency response planning and will practice organizing an integrated response to a crisis event.
